Pharma field is huge and even growing fast in India with many companies and industries growing well. Hence there is a hope that pharmacy career will have boom. Hence there are thousands of colleges producing lakhs of Pharma graduates every year.
Many of the students jump into the course with meager or improper knowledge of the future prospects.
But as a long perceiver of the course I can say this field is not worthy of the effort put in.
But if you are already perceiving or about to take pharmacy admission then still there is a good hope for future if you wish to take some hard work.
The field has diverse options like a normal B.Tech or BE courses in the career. But the initial remuneration may not be encouraging and rather are a bit discouraging.
After completion of your pharma graduation you can start your career as
1.Personal business like retail pharmacy outlet if you can make a minimum investment.
2.Industrial jobs like manufacture, research and development, marketing of drugs i.e sales enhancement.
3.Government jobs like scientist, academic faculty, pharmacist, drug inspector etc.
4.Even if you wish to perceive further education like M.Pharm, PhD there are options to get scholarships from the government as MHRD (GPAT), JRF, SRF, RA etc .
